Erik Johansson Illusion Exercise
For this exercise, what was to be done was to go onto photoshop and be able create an illusion t make a glass-like street, and make it appear as though the buildings were reflecting, against the glass illusion. For this particular exercise, what I had done was use the polygon lasso tool and outline the buildings seen, and paste it onto another layer. From there on, I flipped the replica image, and used the skew tool to stretched the image to fit along the road. This created the reflection image. After this I use the polygon lasso tool once more to make the lines on the road, and give it the "glass" look by using stroke and using white. Then I used the drop shadow to make the tiles appear to be lifted and more realistic.
Two Half Match
For this exercise, what was asked, was to take this photo, and make the girl in the photo's natural looking side of her face, and match the heavier, photoshopped side. I used an array of tools provided to try to replicate this look to the most of my beginner ability, and this was the outcome yo the right. I made the lips pinker by changing the color tone, I used the blur tool, to make her skin appear smoother, and I used small pixel size of black paint to make her eyelashes thicker and darker.
